Our Commitment to Privacy
Pandacommon is a static educational website built with Astro and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
No Personal Data Collection
- No accounts or registration — you can browse all content without creating an account.
- No cookies set by us — this site sets no cookies of its own. Aggregate page traffic is measured through Cloudflare Zaraz with Google Analytics 4, which is configured at our CDN edge rather than in the pages we publish.
- No forms or submissions — this site doesn't have contact forms, comments, or user submissions.
- Affiliate links — some outbound links are affiliate links. If you follow one, the retailer applies its own privacy policy from that point on. See the Advertising and Affiliate Partners section below.
Server Logs (Minimal)
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may collect standard server logs for security and operational purposes. These logs typically include:
- IP addresses (anonymized)
- Request timestamps
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited (for debugging)
This data is not personally identifiable and is automatically deleted within 30 days.
External Links
Our website contains links to external sites (zoos, conservation organizations, GitHub). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites.

Children's Privacy
Pandacommon is an educational resource suitable for all ages. We intentionally avoid collecting any data from children.
The Kids Zone section contains interactive elements that run entirely in your browser — no data is sent to any server.
Advertising and Affiliate Partners
Advertising. Pandacommon is registered with Google AdSense and publishes an ads.txt file, but no advertising scripts are currently loaded on this site and no ad is served to you. If advertising is enabled in future, this section will say so, and Google's data practices will apply from that point.
Affiliate links. Our Panda Shop contains links to Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases, and those links are marked as paid links. We run no tracking scripts of our own to record which links you follow; Amazon's own privacy policy governs what it collects once you leave this site (see Amazon's Privacy Notice).
Hosting and delivery. Our hosting and CDN providers process the technical data needed to deliver this site - such as IP address and user agent - in order to serve pages, images and video. We do not use that data to build profiles of individual visitors.
Analytics. We use Cloudflare Zaraz with Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate traffic to this site: which pages are read, roughly where readers arrive from, and general device categories. That measurement is configured and injected at the Cloudflare edge, so no analytics code is present in the pages we publish. We use it in aggregate only - we do not send reader names, contact details or per-product identifiers, and we do not use it to build personal profiles.
