He is registered under studbook number 1398 in the global giant panda breeding registry maintained by the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda. Fuzhou Panda World, located in Fujian Province, China, is a specialized captive breeding facility that has hosted giant pandas for public education and research since its founding. He is the offspring of Kang Qin and Hua Rong, both captive-bred giant pandas residing at Fuzhou Panda World.
