Currently living at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, she participates in the base’s captive breeding program for giant pandas, a species classified as Vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Li Li is known for her gentle foraging behavior, consuming an average of 12 to 18 kilograms of bamboo daily. As one of the longest-lived captive giant pandas at the Chengdu base, she draws regular interest from wildlife researchers and visitors.
