Generation 600
Qian Qian (芊芊, studbook #650) is a female giant panda born September 11, 2006 at Wolong Hetaoping Base. Daughter of You You (优优), twin of Duo Duo. She survived the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake and was evacuated to Yunnan Wildlife Park. In 2012, she became the first panda to return to Sichuan in the "2012 Panda Homecoming" campaign. A prolific mother, she has given birth to 8 cubs across 5 litters, including Qian Jin (Shanghai's first second-generation panda mother). Noted for her "偏爱女儿" (preference for daughters) — she diligently raises females but neglects sons.
