Ähtäri Zoo, located in South Ostrobothnia, Finland, is a 60-hectare EAZA-accredited institution first opened in 1961. It is most famous for housing giant pandas *Ailuropoda melanoleuca* Jin Bao Bao and Hua Bao, who arrived in 2018 under the Sino-Finnish Giant Panda Conservation Cooperation Agreement in partnership with the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
