View profileEverland Resort Panda World, located in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do Province, South Korea, is the country's only giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) exhibition and conservation research base, operated under the Sino-Korean Giant Panda Cooperative Research and Breeding Program launched in 2016. The institution is accredited by the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) and the Asian Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and maintains long-term research partnerships with the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) and the Korea National Institute of Ecology. Giant pandas are listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and included in Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), making Panda World's conservation work a key component of cross-border giant panda protection efforts. In 2020, the resident giant panda pair Ai Bao and Le Bao, loaned from the CCRCGP's Dujiangyan Base, gave birth to Fu Bao, the first Ailuropoda melanoleuca individual born
