Xin Ni'er (新妮儿, studbook #692) was a female giant panda born September 28, 2007 at the Wolong Hetaoping Base. Daughter of You You, she was the mother of Ai Bao (愛宝, Korea). She died during a wild training program in 2016 from a duodenal obstruction. Her body was preserved as the world's first plastinated panda specimen — a teaching tool that will last a thousand years.
