Hua Ni

Hua Ni, recorded in the global giant panda studbook under number 869, is a female giant panda born on July 13, 2013 at the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda. Her mother is Qing Qing, who holds studbook number 690, and her father is Shin Shin, both captive-bred individuals registered with the center and part of its official managed breeding program. Her lineage traces to the carefully curated captive panda population established to support the long-term genetic diversity of the species, a core goal of China’s national giant panda conservation framework.

On July 13, 2014, her first birthday, Hua Ni was transferred to Everland Resort’s Panda World in South Korea, as part of a long-term cooperative conservation partnership between the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda and international wildlife care institutions. Her daily care at Everland adheres strictly to international captive giant panda welfare and management standards, with dedicated veterinary and animal care teams monitoring her health, dietary needs, and behavioral patterns on an ongoing basis.

She is currently integrated into two core programming streams at Everland: public conservation education initiatives and coordinated international managed breeding efforts.
