Qin Qin is a female giant panda born on 2013-08-27 at Qinling Wildlife Park. She is the offspring of Gu Gu and Ye Ye, two adult giant pandas resident at the Qinling conservation breeding facility. Currently living at Qinling Wildlife Park, she participates in the coordinated captive breeding program for giant pandas run by the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda. The program focuses on preserving the genetic diversity of the Qinling subspecies of giant panda, a distinct population isolated from other giant panda groups in central China.
