Lan Xiang (兰香, studbook #548) is a female giant panda born July 12, 2002 at CCRCGP — one of China's first twin pair of the year alongside sister Mei Qing. Daughter of Ying Ying and Da Di, she moved to Chongqing Zoo in 2003. Nicknamed "Lazy Imperial Consort" (懒贵妃) for her sedentary habits. She gave birth for the first time at age 14 (2016) — unusually late — to twins Yu Bao and Yu Bei. In 2019, at 17, she gave birth to Shuang Shuang and Chong Chong (the "Four Happy Meatballs"). In 2025, a tourist threw a cola bottle at her, sparking public outrage.
