Life story

Short version

Shu Qin (淑琴, studbook #756) is a female giant panda born on August 26, 2009 at the Ya'an Bifengxia Base. Daughter of Ying Ying (#382) and Lu Lu (#503), she moved to Wolong Shenshuping in 2015. Mother of Qin Xin, Shan Zhu, Xiao Yue/Xing Yi and Xing Qiu.

Basic Profile

Shu Qin (Chinese: 淑琴), studbook number 756, is a female giant panda born on August 26, 2009 at the Ya’an Bifengxia Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Pandas (CCRCGP). Her mother is Ying Ying (英英, studbook 382) and her father is Lu Lu (芦芦, studbook 503).

⚠️ Number correction (2026-09): Earlier versions of this page recorded studbook 640 and a 2006 birth at Wolong — both incorrect. The official studbook number is 756, born 2009-08-26 at Ya’an Bifengxia. Studbook 640 does not belong to this panda.

⚠️ Offspring correction (2026-09): Earlier versions listed Fu Feng (#1032) and Fu Ban (#1033) as her children. Her documented litters (2016, 2019, 2020) contain no 2017 cubs — those two are not her offspring, and their dam is currently unconfirmed pending studbook verification.

📝 Not Shu Qing (蜀庆, #480) of the Chengdu Base — see Shu Qing (蜀庆, #480).
