Short version
You Hin (优浜, studbook #832), nicknamed "Long-Legged Beauty," is a female giant panda born August 10, 2012 at Adventure World, Japan. Daughter of Eimei and Rau Hin, she returned to China in 2017. Since 2018, she has lived at Suzhou Wildlife Park in Anhui — for years the only panda in the entire province, earning her the title "Lone Sprout." She is known for her unusually long, elegant limbs.
You Hin (Chinese: 优浜, nicknamed Chang Tui Mei Mei/长腿美眉 — “Long-Legged Beauty”), studbook number 832, is a female giant panda born on August 10, 2012 at Adventure World in Shirahama, Wakayama, Japan. She is a daughter of Eimei (永明) and Rau Hin (良浜) of the famous Hama Family.
Unlike most pandas who walk with a characteristic pigeon-toed waddle, You Hin has unusually long, slender limbs and walks with a light, elegant stride. The difference is subtle but distinct — she moves more like a cat than a typical panda. Her admirers call her “Long-Legged Beauty.”
You Hin returned to China on June 5, 2017 alongside her siblings Kai Hin (海浜) and You Hin (阳浜). After quarantine in Chengdu, she was transferred on March 30, 2018 to Suzhou Wildlife Park in Anhui Province.
She initially shared her enclosure with an older female panda, Da Shuang (大双). After Da Shuang returned to Chengdu in 2021, You Hin became the only giant panda in Anhui Province — a “lone sprout” (独苗苗) — until a new companion, Cheng Shuang (成双), arrived in 2025.
She is described as quiet and calm, preferring to eat and sleep over active play. She doesn’t mind crowds of visitors watching her nap. Her bamboo is sourced from deep in the Jinzhai County mountains, harvested every three days and stored in a specialized cold room.
